You Didn't Get Bad Leads.
You Got Bad Creative.

Meta's algorithm finds your buyer either way. What it can't do is make a boring ad work. We shoot original video of your crew, your trucks, and your actual jobs — then build the landing page, the testing, and the follow-up behind it.

What went wrong last time

Why your Facebook and Instagram ads didn't work last time

Most contractors who've run Facebook ads before have the same story. An agency took some phone photos, wrote a "Get a Free Quote" headline, pointed it at homeowners 35–65 within 25 miles, and the leads that came in were price shoppers or nobody at all.

That's not a targeting failure. Targeting is mostly automated now. That's a creative failure— and creative is the one thing most ad agencies don't actually make.

Why Meta

Best ROI in home services — but only with the strategy and creative behind it.

LSA, Google Ads, and SEO all fish in the same pond: people who are already searching. In a market the size of Clearwater that's a few hundred people a month, and every contractor in town is bidding on the same ones.

Meta reaches the people who haven't started looking yet. On one recent roofing campaign that was 83,195 people for under $900. Nobody is going to beat that on cost.

The catch is that Meta only works if the creative earns attention. Search ads work even when they're boring, because the intent is already there. On Meta, a bad ad just doesn't get watched. That's why most contractors have tried it and quit — and it's why the whole process below exists.

Yes — video, audiences

This isn't an argument against the others. LSA converts beautifully when it fires, and SEO compounds forever. But LSA only reaches someone at the exact moment they search, and SEO won't pay you back this quarter. Meta is what fills the gap — and it's what makes the other two cheaper, because people who've seen your video convert better everywhere else.

The Process

Eight steps, and the creative is only one of them.

This is the whole system — research through follow-up. Most of what breaks a contractor's Facebook ads happens in the steps nobody talks about.

01

Research & Ideation

We study your market before we touch a camera.

We pull the ads your competitors are running right now, break down what's working and what's lazy, and find the gap. Then we define the offer and the angles worth shooting.

Most agencies start with "send us your logo and a few photos."

02

Script & Direction

Nothing gets improvised on shoot day.

Every reel is scripted to a specific hook. Shot list built in advance. You know what you're saying and where you're standing before we show up.

Most agencies hand you a camera and hope.

03

Production

We show up and shoot.

Half a day on site. Your crew, your trucks, your actual work. And not just the finished pool — dig day, the forming, the concrete, the tile going in. Process content is what makes a premium buyer trust you.

Most agencies license stock footage of someone else's job site.

04

Edit & Assembly

One shoot day becomes eight reels.

Multiple formats per concept — testimonial cut, fast-paced build reel, a guard-down humor angle. Captions burned in. Sized for Feed, Reels, and Stories.

Most agencies deliver one video and call it a campaign.

05

Landing Page & Conversion Path

The ad's job is the click. The page's job is the lead.

Purpose-built landing page — not your homepage. One offer, one action, no navigation to wander off into. Built to match the ad so nobody feels bait-and-switched, and loaded fast enough that a guy on a job site with two bars doesn't bounce.

Most agencies point paid traffic at a homepage and blame the ad when it doesn't convert.

06

Campaign Architecture

The part most accounts quietly get wrong.

Pixel and Conversions API wired correctly. The right optimization event — not "landing page view." Campaign structure that gives the algorithm enough volume to learn, and a budget split that doesn't strangle it in week one.

Targeting is largely solved. Tracking and offer are what break accounts, and they're what nobody checks.

07

A/B Testing & Iteration

We find the winner, then we feed it.

Structured tests, one variable at a time — hook against hook, format against format, offer against offer. Losers get killed early. Winners get budget. Because we shoot volume, there's always something new in the queue.

An agency with one video has nothing to test. Testing isn't a tactic you add — it's only possible if you're producing.

08

Follow-Up, Nurture & Retargeting

A lead nobody calls back is just an expense.

Every form fill fires an instant text and email — to the lead and to you. The lead lands in your CRM with an automated nurture sequence behind it, so the ones who aren't ready today don't evaporate. And everyone who watched your video becomes a retargeting audience.

That last one only exists if someone makes video. An agency that doesn't shoot has a permanently smaller warm pool.

The Creative Criteria

The creative is the whole game. Here's some of what we check.

Every concept we shoot gets run against a checklist before it goes live. This is part of it.

  • The first 3 seconds — does it stop a thumb before the scroll
  • A face on screen inside the first second
  • Captions burned in — most people watch muted
  • Reads as content, not as an ad
  • Multiple formats per concept — testimonial, fast-cut build reel, guard-down humor
  • Hook variations — same body, different open
  • Where the offer lands in the timeline
  • Pattern interrupt placement
  • Aspect ratio and safe-zone framing per placement
  • Thumb-stop rate against the control before scaling spend

+ more criteria every concept gets checked against.

We walk clients through the full list. It's most of what separates an ad that works from an ad that gets scrolled past.

The objection

“I'm terrible on camera.”

Heard it on almost every first call. It has never once killed a campaign.

You

Best

Owner-on-camera outperforms everything else — people buy from the person who'll be running the job. We direct you through it and cut around the takes that don't land. Most owners are fine by the second shoot.

Your team

A tech or project manager who's good with people works nearly as well. We coach them up on the day.

Hired talent

If nobody at the company wants to be on camera, we bring someone in. Your work is still the star.

Owner-first is what we push for, because it works. But there's a version of this that fits whatever you're comfortable with.

Case study

Coastal Brothers Roofing: $896 in spend, 83,195 people reached.

  1. Situation

A Clearwater-area roofing company with solid work and almost no paid presence. They'd been relying on referrals and the occasional search lead, and had never run video.

  2. What research found

Every competitor in the market was running the same thing — stock photos of finished roofs and a "Free Inspection" headline. Nobody was showing the actual work, which left the whole trust angle wide open.

  3. What we shot

A half day on an active tear-off. Owner on camera walking through what he looks for on a roof, plus the crew working, decking going down, and the finished product.

  4. What we ran

Multiple hooks against the same body, cut for Feed, Reels, and Stories, pointed at a purpose-built landing page with a single action. Pixel and Conversions API wired to the form, not to page views.

Pairs well with

Meta is the fastest lever. It isn't the only one.

Local SEO

Meta creates the demand; SEO catches it when they search your name later.

Google LSA

Bottom-funnel capture. People who saw your video convert on LSA at a lower cost.

CRM & Automation

Included here, but it does more when it's handling every lead source.

Fit

This works well for some contractors and badly for others.

Good fit

  • Home service contractors doing $1M+ annually
  • Can handle more calls than you're getting now
  • Willing to put a face on camera — yours or someone's
  • Thinking in quarters, not weeks

Not a fit

  • Looking for the cheapest option
  • Want leads without appearing in your own marketing
  • Need results in 14 days
  • Won't answer the phone
